quadro_bikeExplainer video production is a multi-step method that includes a lot more experts than one particular.
Typically, an explainer video production team comprises of a Scriptwriter, Storyboard Artist, Illustrator, Animator, Voiceover Artist and Sound-Effects Artist. MerhiCinema of these six role players uniquely contributes to video production.
Here’s a step-by-step description of the Video Production Course of action.
Step I: Understanding Client Brief
The first step of the explainer video production process entails going through client’s brief (a questionnaire filled by client), for understanding his/her company entity and video requirement. Commonly, it is the scriptwriter who goes through this approach. In case of doubts or queries, an interaction in between the scriptwriter and the client is arranged.
Step II: Analysis and Brainstorming
Right after all the relevant info has been gathered from the client, a secondary study (if required) is conducted, for improved understanding the business. The short is explained to the storyboard artist and to the animator. After both of them have understood the short, they sit with the scriptwriter to visualize the video storyline, determine on characterizations & other visual components, and finalize on how those elements would be animated. When all the things is decided, the video script is crafted.
Step III: Scripting & Voiceover
Primarily based upon discussion, the explainer video script is crafted and sent to the client for approval. Normally, a 60-seconds explainer video script contains 150-160 words. This script acts as the ‘armature’ about which the video is sculpted. On approval, the script is recorded as a voiceover, which at a later stage, is placed as a background narration in the explainer video.
Step IV: Storyboarding & Illustration
”A storyboard is a graphic organizer in the type of illustrations or photos displayed in sequence for the goal of pre-visualizing a motion image, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence.”- Wikipedia
Essentially, storyboarding includes sketching the scenes of the video, frame-by-frame. Storyboarding is performed on the basis of the final script. When storyboarding is carried out, it is sent for client’s approval. On approval, the storyboard goes via illustration (colorization), and as soon as once more, it is sent to the client for approval.
Step V: Animation and Sound Effects
After the fully-illustrated storyboard is authorized from the client, the animation procedure gets started. This process of course, consumes a lot of time as it is not a simple job to bring static storyboard characters/components to life. The animation is carried out based on the final voiceover, hence guaranteeing appropriate synchronization in between the audio and the visual.
Sooner or later, the animation and voiceover are integrated with each other to type the video. To this video, sounds effects are added. The sound effects boost the general video excellent and contribute in generating subtle humor.
The final video is sent for approval.
Step VI: Delivery
On approval, the final video along with its supply files is delivered to the client. As per the client’s requirement, the video is delivered in ‘mov’, ‘avi’ and/or ‘mp4’ format(s). This is how the explainer video production approach ends.
To Conclude
If you are planning to get an animated video developed, then you should retain in thoughts that no matter what explainer video style you opt for to have for your video, the production is time-consuming. Thus, in order to have a higher-excellent video, the production team must be given sufficient time to conceptualize and make it. Pull off an awesome video and experience its added benefits!
